Outpatient clinics are held (Kingston Hospital, Queen Mary's Hospital, Raynes Park Health Centre and Molesey Hospital) for assessment, examination and investigation with Radiology, olonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy.

Day case and inpatient surgery is performed at Kingston Hospital. Open and laparoscopic surgery is performed where appropriate.

Common conditions regularly seen and managed in our department would include; rectal bleeding; haemorrhoidal problems; anal fissures; anal fistulas; rectal prolapse; anal incontinence; disturbances of bowel habit; abdominal pain; diverticular disease; bowel cancer; inflammatory bowel disease; irritable bowel syndrome; stomas; inguinal, femoral, incisional, umbilcal and epigastric herniae;
