AAU

 

AAU is a 50 bedded unit

The primary role is to provide definitive assessment, investigations and treatment for patients admitted as an emergency from A&E and/or referred by their GP.

We admit patients 24 hours a day seven days a week. The patient will either be discharged home after assessment and treatment or transferred to another speciality ward. This occurs if anticipated length of stay is going to be longer than 72 hours.

AAU visiting times are 9.00am - 12.00pm and 2.00pm - 8.00pm
