We know that volunteering improves patient experiences and enhances the services we provide. Kingston Hospital has a volunteering community of over 800 volunteers. The Trust welcomes volunteering applications from across the diverse communities we serve and is committed to a rewarding experience both for our volunteers and the people you'll be supporting.
We offer all volunteers the support they need to match time, talent and personal interests to the perfect role and placement. In return, the Trust asks for a minimum commitment of 6 months and at least 30 hours during this period. This is roughly 1.5hrs a week, although some roles will require more/less.

Our team of Welcomers assist patients with directions and take them to where they need to go for their appointments around the hospital. They volunteer in the morning or afternoon Monday to Friday.
