The hospital is currently exceptionally busy and we are working around the clock to make sure all our patients get the best care in the most appropriate place. We are working with our community partners to help ensure that the right support is in place for patients when they leave the hospital so that we are able to discharge patients safely and have beds available for the most acutely ill patients who need them.
We are urging people to only visit A&E in a real emergency and where possible visit your local pharmacist or urgent treatment centre instead.

The free NHS 111 phone service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, offering a one-stop number for patients with urgent, but not life-threatening symptoms.
Pharmacies can help with several common conditions including minor injuries:
•Coughs, colds and fevers
•Diarrhoea and vomiting
•Hay fever and other allergies
They can give advice and medicines, if appropriate.

Extended access GP appointments are available across the borough of Kingston between 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week. Appointments take place at Surbiton Health Centre, Kingston Health Centre and Merritt Health Centre. To book an appointment for Monday to Friday, contact your own GP practice.
Weekend appointments can be accessed by calling NHS 111 or the dedicated weekend telephone number 020 3841 9942.
Extended access GP appointments are available 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week. Appointments take place at Sheen Lane Health Centre and the Teddington Memorial Hospital. To book an appointment, call your GP practice during opening hours or call NHS 111 at any other time.
