Kingston Hospital will host its first Careers Day on Saturday 20th May, from 11am – 2pm. The day will give people of all ages a chance to find out more about the different career opportunities the NHS and Kingston Hospital have to offer.
The Trust will be showcasing all departments, including clinical and non-clinical areas, giving attendees information about all roles, from Staff Nurses and Physiotherapists, to Receptionists and Finance Officers.
Kelvin Cheatle, Director of Workforce at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are very excited to be hosting our first careers day, and showcasing all the great career opportunities that are available at the hospital and within the NHS. Contrary to popular belief, the NHS is made up of so much more than doctors and nurses, and we want to shout about all the different professions, specialities and skills that make up our big team of staff at Kingston Hospital.
“We have formally invited students from local schools, colleges and universities, but the day is not just for young people. We are welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds, whether they are healthcare professionals returning to practice or people wanting to take their career in a different direction.”
The event will be a great opportunity for those with a career in mind to find out more about that profession and how to apply for any potential job vacancies at the Trust. For those coming with more of an open mind, the event will include ‘careers speed dating’ sessions where attendees will be given a quick overview on all the different departments.
The event will take place at Kingston Hospital in the Education Centre, located on the fifth floor of the Surgical Centre.
