Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is committed to providing the best possible patient experience. Your feedback is a really important way of helping us to achieve this. We receive feedback in a number of ways from our patients, but all inpatients should be provided with the opportunity to complete the NHS Friends & Family Test.
This test is used in hospitals across the country and Kingston Hospital is now using the test on all of its adult inpatient wards, A&E, maternity and some of its outpatient departments.
The test is given to a patient following their treatment or stay in hospital and asks the patient whether they would recommend Kingston Hospital to their friends and family based on their experience. Patients can rate their recommendation on a scale of six options, ranging from 'extremely likely' to 'extremely unlikely' and there is also an opportunity to give their main reasons for their answer and some feedback.
The test is an important opportunity for patients to provide feedback to the Hospital on the care and treatment they have received and help us to improve our services so we would like as many people to give feedback as possible.
The Friends and Family Test does not replace the current NHS Complaints procedure. If you have concerns about your treatment or your relative’s treatment, you can speak to the Hospital’s Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 020 8934 3993 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
