Boots – Outpatient/A&E Pharmacy
Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is working in partnership with Boots to provide a pharmacy service offering high quality, safe and person-centred care. They will be dedicated to dispensing all of our Outpatient and A&E prescriptions.
Boots are committed to supporting us in providing exceptional patient and customer care and have a team of health care professionals at the heart of delivering this.
We are proud to be working with Boots as they are passionate about putting patients first and their pharmacists and technicians use their expertise to help meet your healthcare needs.
Please note that Boots are only able to dispense Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust prescriptions. For all other prescription types please ask a member of the Boots team for advice.
Boots Pharmacy is located on the third floor between the outpatient departments’ reception and the hospital main entrance.
Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.30pm
Saturday 10.00am to 4.00pm
Sunday 10.00am to 2.00pm
The Pharmacy Team provide a high quality, professional pharmacy service to in patients. The service is responsive to the needs of patients and is developing the use of IT to improve patient safety and efficiency.
The pharmacy purchase and distributes medicines to wards and departments at Kingston Hospital Foundation Trust as well as to Princess Alice Hospice, Esher. We dispense hospital only prescriptions for inpatients.
Our clinical pharmacists review patients' prescriptions regularly on the wards to ensure optimal treatment is achieved. They also give advice to prescribers and to patients on how best to take their medicines.
We have a Medicines Information Department which provides support for Trust healthcare staff and patients who have any questions or concerns about their medicines supplied by us. There is a dedicated helpline for patients, open Monday to Friday from 9.15am to 5.00pm.
